When a restoration project presents itself we often suggest using these opportunities to also remove any aggressive non-native species that are detrimental to the environment. Many plants that are now known as invasives started out as potted ornamentals on the benches at garden centers. As information becomes available it is our responsibility to adapt in ways that benefit the planet.
Offerings include in-ground color enhancements to coordinate with container plantings, one time installations, garden restoration/rehabilitation and weekly, bi-weekly or monthly garden maintenance services.

Seasonal container gardens are custom works of art created specific for each client and setting. Residential pieces often reflect the client's personality and preferences while commercial pieces are assembled based on the site needs, level of traffic and the maintenance requirements. Containers are available for every occasion, including but not limited to seasonal changes, special occasions, events and holidays. We happily incorporate specific plants upon request but there's a certain magic that happens when we're left to our own devices. Our arrangements often omit standard, recognizable garden fare and focus heavily on less-common plant material. Each season we trial new combinations to discover what will perform best in the variable New England climate.
With rainfall increasing in frequency and volume with nearly every storm, we have few options to divert some of the runoff and protect our infrastructure and waterways. Runoff from roads, driveways and even our roofs contain toxins that are readily appearing in our waterways. Building a rain garden is an easy way to allow runoff slowly percolate into the Earth where it can be slowly filtered instead of disappearing down a drain and out to sea. By digging a deep trench and lining it with rocks and native plants that can handle these conditions, we can help prevent water from seeping into our homes while simultaneously protecting wildlife and adding low maintenance/high value habitat to our properties.
Houseplants are seeing a resurgence in popularity and with good reason. There are numerous health benefits to adding a few plants to your office or home. In addition to contributing to an overall improved sense of well-being, certain plants can filter toxins from our household air supply. Interior air can be up to 5 times more harmful than the air outdoors due to items such as furniture upholstery and carpeting release volatile organic compounds, invisible pollutants in our homes and offices. In many ways, houseplants help create a healthier atmosphere.
